Located just off Infirmary street, the Lock Street plot will be transformed to welcome a wealth of high-end apartments just outside of Sheffield city centre.
The site is truly rich in history, having formerly been occupied by William Ellis and Sons Iron Foundry between 1900 and 1919. We’re in the planning phase to rebuild the historic plot to welcome 61 luxury apartments to the area.
Since the site was a foundry, Sheffield has been through a strong economic revival, with the address now demonstrating high employment rates in health, education and manufacturing sectors.
These new homes are sure to be a welcome addition to an area in great need of central luxury living the first-time buyers and young professionals who are naturally attracted to the area.
The city of Sheffield is beautiful, with an abundance to offer for prospective residents.
Just the other side of the River Don site is the House Skate Park, which boasts a large indoor wooden-floored skatepark with banks, ramps, quarter pipes and a vert wall. So entertainment won’t be a problem for younger visitors.
Lock Street occupies an ideal location with excellent transport connections. But residents won’t need to travel far with highly rated restaurants, cafes and shopping facilities just minutes away.
The city’s focus on becoming more sustainable, modern and embracing new technologies has had a profound effect on the economy in recent years.
Sheffield City Region Mayor Dan Jarvis remains optimistic that the Build Back Better proposal would see the north become stronger, fairer and greener as the economy bounces back from the coronavirus pandemic.
